Hunter, I have always been willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, but now I can see why folks get on you. I enjoy your work a lot and chose them for a couple of nights on micah’s guided re-tour.

It’s just a write up, almost done. Why muck it up?

Ummm... Dan? Uncle J? It's irony, yes? Humour - you remember that? It's about not taking yourself that tiny bit too seriously. You know what I mean? Hunter knows.

This was no attempt at humor. And I said his REMARK was asinine and short-sighted. Don't twist my words around. If michah6vs8 feels any level of consternation based on my post, think about how I have felt when someone has ridiculed me when I simply want to share something new I've worked on and that I am excited about, like my essay on why the matrix sound structure is a reflection of the Four Winds; or my FB page that is strangely discordant with the number of Likes that the GD FB page has received; or my post regarding some cosmological significance to the fact that there is a Miller/Seamons Rd. intersection in Rock Island, Tennessee; or just my simple YouTube post of "Babe, It Ain't No Lie" with a matrix soundtrack last week, whereupon I am called a "self-important asshole" and am accused of boasting more than ever?

Can't I share my work and ideas here like anybody else without being shot down? I should have that right like anybody else. The hatefulness that has been expressed toward me is just as cruel as if I went to an outdoor screening of Hitchcock's "39 Steps" in New York, only for someone to intentionally spill a glass of wine on my wife, and then for others to mockingly take pictures of us and want to lynch me and hang me from the highest tree. But in spite of these few hateful people, I know the rest of the people here have more kindness in their hearts than that. Sometimes you get a few bad apples, but I will learn to love these people.........sorry, I'm starting to cry right now because of how horrible such things are to happen to me - but I will persevere - "I will get by" - with courage...and love. Goodnight.

Neither humor nor paranoia. It's merely an attempt at a matrix of a forum thread. This thread had insufficient crowd noise, so Hunter generated some.

At least, that's my theory, and I'm sticking with it ...

Well, someone else showed late to the "party" besides me, huh?!

Hmmm, I am just not on top of this any more...curious--were you around when the PM biz was going on? If you don't know that I mean by that, don't sweat it...I am getting damn old, damn fast, and this place is just one more indication of that truth.

Late? Hey, it's not even 8 a.m. Doing my morning reading here. What's up in current events ... hmmm, Maria files for divorce, Strauss-Kahn is back in the running for President of France, and 7/1/85 either does or does not have too much bass. (Easy answer: There is never such a thing as too much bass.)

I caught the I'm-quitting-as-PM hullaballoo. I assume there was some kind of history to the PM thing, but sorry, I missed that!

This truism, ie, about bass, is one reason I love CREAM. But, I won't blather on about that...for now. And yes, I know it's bright and early for you, and late, very late for Rob, but that's about as much as I know on such matters, other than SDH is sweaty, very sweaty right now--and for no real reason other than it's what we "do" out West nowadays.

Probably Al Gore's fault for discovering global warming.

Maybe my post will be removed for not using "perspiration"?

Yeah, I'd probably like Cream. I mean, CREAM. Not really familiar with them. Sorry, I know that's sacrilege. (But ya know how it is with us young'uns :-) )

Hereabouts it's hot and wet, so we live in front of the fan, which can run because it's raining. Very basic equation: Snowmelt (heat) plus monsoon (wet squared) equals electricity. Not many tourists, except for Indians, who come to escape the heat. That goes in the "everything is relative" category. Kinda like "Best Crypticals of '85."

Can I buy us all some ice cream now?
I mean, this was the last show I was to see until the following spring.
I learned a lot about myself on this tour – thanks for the ride Micah.

Sounds like a plan, Dan, and Rocky Road seems an appropriate choice for this journey - a little (marsh)mellow and plenty of nuts.

Ice cream? We get ice cream after this? Damn--Dire never followed through after a blowup with this sorta thing; that mangy excuse for a mutt,...oh, I don't even know why I bother; he's not gonna show, eh? Insults, attacks--even compliments fail to bring him out of hiding these days.

Good night, Rob.

Hang in there man. The list of posters I'm willing to spend my precious time reading has dwindled. I always thought that would be result of posts getting too facebooky, but the truth is the humorless/windbag to intelligent/funny ratio is all jacked up.

Frankly, I just could not accept all of the low-blows michah has been dishing out at me in these daily write-ups. Yes, I may be paranoid, highly emotional, and only slightly egotistical, but I would address the very same question to michah as you have addressed to me.

What it also comes down to is that I, for a long time, would be extra nice and careful towards people around here, despite all the potshots aimed towards me. Now I have learned that being the nice guy has very little rewards. Now I've become jaded and embittered by it all, and my ugliness is the result of YOUR treatment of me. If I'm no longer the nice guy I used to be, it's because YOU GUYS did it to me.

Hunter,I think the general consensus of the sane people here on the forum would be that Micah is a very nice fellow, not prone to mean comments, and that you are a touchy, self absorbed, prima dona who cannot be criticized.
I would also like to say that no one owes you any thanks for adding crowd noise to a tape that someone else worked hard to make,we owe the original tapers the thanks. To put yourself on the same level as Charlie or any of the other fine folks who put transfers up here and elsewhere is insulting to the tedious and good work they do,once again you add crowd noise to existing sources.

Speaking as someone who can give a fair rendition of sanity when called upon to do so, I'd like to distance myself from your po-faced 'general consensus'. Micah, for all his manifest faults (he can do mean as well as anybody when the notion takes him), will, I have no doubt, find Hunter's post just as funny as I did. I mean, really, you guys need to get a grip, pull your heads out of your rear ends, and lighten the fuck up.

Thank you.

Murray break your heart? I'm sure Nadal is a heart breaker in more ways than one. Damn, I was looking forward to asking you what Scotch you were going to enjoy Sunday night.
Your right Rob. I can be as mean as hell. More of your unflinching realism, which can be as fun as emptying latrines all day in the Amazon.
It's what you do after one's unkindness that I think is the key.

Ah, young Murray... started off with such promise but was eclipsed by the better man. The final is going to be a show. As to Scotch (or any other alcoholic beverage) I'm taking a break from it right now.

Do you have actual experience of Amazonian latrine emptying? It's the kind of daft activity I'd believe of you. Go on, tell me Seamons made you smile.

It was good satire. I think it's still a bit ambiguous. Which is good. Also, less may be more, (but when your having fun).

(Hunter, I am timing your response time ;-)

Rob, you picture me, w/ a faith based group, hauling shit in the Amazon for salvation? That's easy. I have to have a 50% conversion rate here on IA. Talk about a tough crowd. Your folder is at least an inch think (others are far worse).

I'm with you on the 'less is more' - HS can over=egg it just a smidgen, but then maybe that's what gives it that deliciously rich ambiguity.

Of course I don't really imagine you shovelling shit to save your soul, but if you have a folder just for me, that would truly make you one extremely weird bastard.
